In just four years, Virago Logistics has evolved from a spare-room start-up into one of Australia’s most dynamic boutique logistics providers — and now, it’s stepping confidently onto the international stage. The Melbourne-based 3PL has announced a strategic partnership with New Zealand logistics group Pacificomm, signalling a bold new era of growth and cross-Tasman expansion.

Co-Founded in 2021 by Em Frost, Virago Logsitics began as a practical solution for their own e-commerce operations before transforming into a full-fledged logistics business built to empower other founders — particularly women — to scale their brands with confidence. Since then, the company has fulfilled over 250,000 orders for leading Australian labels including Sol De Sur, Sommer Swim, and OnceWas.
“This partnership really propels us forward,” says Frost. “Being a small, women-owned business has taken us far, but true growth comes from connection — from being part of a network that lets our clients dream bigger and go further.”
As part of the Pacificomm alliance, Virago Logistics has relocated from its three smaller Cheltenham warehouses into a larger, consolidated facility, with access to Pacificomm’s Auckland and Christchurch distribution centres. This move not only increases capacity but gives Virago’s 30+ clients immediate reach into the New Zealand market.
“If my clients grow, we grow,” Frost says. “That’s always been the heart of what we do — building systems and partnerships that make expansion effortless for the brands that trust us.”
Established in 2012, Pacificomm has built a reputation as a powerhouse in supply chain and distribution, working with brands like Apple, Kmart, Big W, Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, and Samsung.
According to Ajay Sharma, Pacificomm’s director of new ventures, the partnership gives Virago the structure and support to accelerate its momentum.
“We’re providing the horsepower behind the vision,” Sharma explains. “From freight and forwarding to finance and commercial backing, we can plug Virago’s entrepreneurial energy into a broader global framework — and that benefits everyone involved.”
With this new chapter, Frost’s mission remains clear: to champion growth, connection, and opportunity for the e-commerce community that built Virago from the ground up.
From a homegrown Melbourne venture to a trans-Tasman player — Virago’s next move is proof that small beginnings can lead to big horizons.
